ABOUT

  THE BEGINNING OF CMP

In the summer of 2005, Christ Memorial Lutheran Church expanded to it’s current location on Lindbergh Blvd. Formerly a Target store, Christ Memorial had all the wide open space they needed to create a unique, multi-purpose facility for many different types of community activities and ministries.

As a way to unite Christ Memorial members in their new space and welcome the surrounding community, the idea for a doing for a first-ever Christ Memorial Production was born. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2005) was a surprise, award-winning hit, and it’s success led the church into a whole new area of ministry and community outreach.

In 2008, we officially became known as Christ Memorial Productions; a musical theater group and integrated ministry that combines the gifts and talents of those within the church and those of the community. CMP promotes faith, friendship and theatrical excellence in every production, and provides an equal opportunity for all experience levels. We currently focus on one production each year in the fall.

In the last 6 years, we have had the pleasure of performing to more than 10,000 people, earned more theatrical awards than any other church group in St. Louis history, and continue to raise the bar for ourselves and others. As Christ Memorial Productions continues to grow, we hope to become a greater presence in the local theatrical community, expand our creative opportunities, and continue producing the outstanding shows CMP is known for.

We invite you to become a part of our Christ Memorial Productions family!
